About Me

My Photo
Bob DeMarco
I am a citizen journalist, writer, investor and caregiver. I am the sole caregiver for my mother; she suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Prior to moving to Delray Beach, Florida to take care of my mother I was CEO of a software development and marketing company based in Reston, Va. I worked in several Wall Street firms, venture capital and as a private investor. The companies included: Bear Stearns, Daiwa Securities America, Spencer Trask, and Salem Partners. My first career was in teaching at the University of Georgia and Philadelphia University. I have substantial corporate training, mentoring, and consulting experience. I am the editor of the Alzheimer's Reading Room. The Alzheimer's Reading Room is becoming the number one stop on the Internet for baby boomers, caregivers, families and others touched by Alzheimer's and dementia. As time goes on, I continue to broaden the content on the weblog to meet the needs of my growing and diverse audience. Articles from the Alzheimer’s Reading Room are starting to show up on major media sites like Reuters.
